Lincoln Man Arrested For Terroristic Threats During Thursday Incident

Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 28)–Lincoln Police arrested a 33-year-old man, after an incident in Lincoln’s South Bottoms neighborhood Thursday morning.
According to LPD, officers were called to the area of 7th and “C” Street, where the victim reported an
unknown man to him confronted him in the street and then retrieved a baseball bat, before running towards the victim. Investigators say the victim thought he was going to be assaulted and sprayed the suspect with pepper spray and called 911.
The suspect then retreated to his vehicle and took off at a high-rate of speed. The victim wasn’t hurt.
Through several interviews, officers identified the suspect as 33-year-old Marquel Callahan. Members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force tracked Callahan down to an apartment near 44th and Huntington and took him into custody without incident.
Callahan was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and operating a motor-vehicle to avoid arrest. ...read more read less
