Donald Trump set to visit western North Carolina in first week of office

GREENSBORO, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- President Donald Trump will visit western North Carolina in one of his first trips of his second term on Friday.
Governor Josh Stein confirmed the president's trip during his winter weather briefing Tuesday afternoon. He called it "very good news.”
The president sworn in Monday will visit the region ravaged by Helene in September. Western North Carolina was mentioned during the inaugural address as well.

“Our country can no longer deliver basic services and times of emergency as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina, been treated so badly,” Trump said. “And other states who are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago.”
Trump last visited WNC in October when he was still running for office. He delivered remarks in Swannanoa.
Where and when he will visit on Friday's are still unknown.
