SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A 24-year-old woman was found dead in a Motel 6 Friday morning and a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, authorities said.
According to San Diego Police Department, a call came in around 1:45 a.m. reporting a deceased individual at 2424 Hotel Circle North in Mission Valley. Responding officers located the woman who appeared to have "obvious" trauma related injuries.

Meanwhile, police contacted two men inside the motel room, with one telling officers he was the woman's boyfriend. He was identified as 19-year-old Victor Cruz of Linda Vista.
Due to the victim's apparent injuries, investigators with SDPD's Homicide Unit were called in to probe the scene. Based on information gathered so far, police said it appears the death is domestic violence-related.
Cruz has since been arrested and will be booked into county jail on suspicion of homicide, the department confirmed.
