SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Do you prefer Texas-style barbeque over North Carolina-style? Well, you're in luck! Redwood Smoke Shack is opening its third location in Hampton Roads -- this one in Suffolk. Previous Coverage: New Redwood Smoke Shack in Suffolk opening in November The Texas-inspired BBQ is set to open on Jan. 28 at 3881 Bridge Road in North Suffolk, near the Harbor View area. The restaurant was named one of the two best places in Virginia to get Texas-style BBQ, according to Texas Monthly. Previous Coverage: The closest you’ll get to Texas barbecue in Virginia Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., or until its sold out. Costumers can enjoy brisket, chicken, potato salad, mac and cheese, etc. Its location used to be the site of former old Bennett’s Creek Farm Market, but has been transformed into a new restaurant with both inside and outside seating. The restaurant's two other locations are in Ghent in Norfolk and Nommo Parkway in Virginia Beach. “The additional space at this location will house our giant smokers in an open-air pit room fully visible to patrons seated in the patio,” said Bob Roberts, founder and owner.
