The Alf Engen Ski Museum is teaming up with the OurSundays Ski and Board Club of Salt Lake City to host an exhibition-accented après ski gathering at the Park City Visitor Information Center, 1794 Olympic Parkway, Kimball Junction, on Jan. 19, from 6-8 p.m.The gathering is free, and skiers, sliders and non-skiers are welcome. The Alf Engen museum’s executive director, Annie Bommer, said that the gathering will be one of “creativity, style, entertainment and camaraderie” and feature a recently unveiled exhibit that celebrates ski-inspired stories from OurSundays Ski and Board Club members. The exhibit, “Beyond the White,” depicts the story of the origins in 2023 of the OurSundays club, whose mission is “building community and a passion for snow sports among people of color living in and visiting Utah.” According to Mark Giles, OurSundays board vice president, the featured art exhibit “reveals the individuals behind the ski gear. We are artist, doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers and more. Sports, much like the arts, possess a unique power to unite people and this exhibit celebrates the intersection of the two realms.”The exhibit has an accompanying Spotify playlist titled “Slope Side 2025,” available here, that viewers can listen to before, after or during the exhibit. Those interested can register here: oursundaysslc.com/merchandise/p/5cuegck4v9wg9gqejnvqzppch25k46.The post Alf Engen Museum, OurSundays Ski Club to host ‘Beyond the White’ après ski event appeared first on Park Record.
