Rare items from some of the biggest stars in music will be auctioned off during Grammy Week to benefit relief efforts amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The MusiCares Charity Relief Auction, hosted in partnership with Julien’s Auctions, will be held live at the Recording Academy in Santa Monica on Feb. 2, the morning of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. Bids can also be made online.
Money raised will help music professionals who’ve been affected by the recent blazes in and around Los Angeles.
Among the more than 60 items up for grabs are a sequined jumpsuit Dolly Parton wore in 2019, Lionel Richie‘s rope-embroidered blazer, a top hat Stevie Nicks wore in promotional materials for her recent “Saturday Night Live” appearance, and a 2018 Gibson Les Paul standard electric guitar autographed by SZA.
Other one-of-a-kind items include signed guitars from Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Neil Young, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus and Luke Combs. A signed copy of Paul McCartney’s 2021 book “The Lyrics” is accompanied by a once-in-a-lifetime Abbey Road Studios experience.
K-Pop is also represented in the auction, with offerings from Tomorrow X Together, Seventeen and NewJeans.
“The best of the best will be offered in this incomparable opportunity to own a piece of music history while making a difference,” Julien’s Auctions co-founder and executive director Martin Nolan said in the announcement.
