Leesburg police pleading community for help after finding dead fetus in pond

LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) -- Leesburg police are looking to the community for help after finding a dead fetus in a pond last year.
The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) said officers discovered a deceased late-term fetus in a pond behind Park Gate Drive on March 11, 2024.

"We know this case pulls at all of our heartstrings, and we are pleading for someone to come forward with any information, no matter how small. Your courage and compassion could be vital in helping us find answers," LPD stated in a post on the X platform. "Please, do the right thing. Your help could make all the difference."
