PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department have taken several juveniles into custody after an assault and robbery incident Saturday night at the Providence Place Mall skybridge. The incident occurred at approximately 7:54 p.m. when the mall detail responded to the skybridge for reports of a robbery. The victims were assaulted by approximately five juvenile suspects, with one victim sustaining a minor face injury. The victim was also robbed of a Gucci bag, according to Providence police. The second victim was robbed of an iPhone and hoodie. District Officers responded to the incident, and the suspects were apprehended in the area of the Amica Mutual Pavilion and Dorrance Street.
