STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - With hundreds of thousands of families in southern California losing homes and the loss of lives, a Door County candle store is raising money for victims amidst the devastating wildfires.
Door County Candle Company & Candle Bar in Sturgeon Bay introduced its newest candle in a Facebook post, the "Golden State - California Wildlife Relief." The candle refers to the state's nickname.

The scent is an Orange Clove, a tribute to the state's groves, which evoke warmth and comfort amidst devastating times like these.
"Together, we can help bring light to the darkness, one small step at a time," the post said.
Carol Burlew at the Door County Candle Company said this is the latest in the store's philanthropic efforts in raising money and emphasized the importance of these actions.
"It's incredibly important to be able to help out even in the smallest way," Burlew said. "We have learned that people want to help out when there's a problem, whether it's hurricane relief or in this case, wildfire relief."
