EMPORIA (KSNT) - People in Emporia are bracing for impact of more snow hitting the area. Flurries started falling just before sunset this evening. This snowfall comes just days after a serious winter storm that hit many people in North East Kansas over the weekend. Hunter Houck works at Gravel City Roasters located at 715 Commercial St. He says last weekend's storm caused trouble for local businesses. "The snow was crazy. We had several, several inches," Houck said. "It snowed me in and caused us to be closed for several days, as well as a lot of business here in downtown Emporia." Abby Foster works and lives in Emporia. She hopes the town can return to normal after tonight's snowfall. "I feel like after this snowfall I feel like people are hoping to get back to their routine a little quicker cause we did have like four days of being locked in our houses," Foster said. The snowfall tonight is expected to last well into the evening and early tomorrow morning. For more local news, click here.
