2 shot in driveby in Fresno neighborhood, suspects at large

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Detectives are working to locate the suspects involved in a shooting that struck two unsuspecting victims in Fresno Saturday evening, the Fresno Police Department announced.
Police say around 9:40 p.m. they received reports of shots being fired in the area of First Street and Ashlan Avenue.
As units arrived officers reported a car driving fast on Blackstone and Clinton Avenues. The occupants told police they were on their way to the hospital because they had been shot.
Officials report the man and woman were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
Investigators report the man and woman near Sussex Way and Tollhouse Road had just left their home and were on their way out of town. The man pulled over and was checking the trunk for something when suspects in a black sedan fired a rifle at them.
Police say the suspect vehicle fled northbound on Tollhouse Road and continued on in an unknown direction.
