BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — For many caregivers, the stress that comes with their job can be overwhelming, and they can often forsake their own happiness and care in favor of others. Fortunately, a new class from North Dakota State University hopes to help resolve this problem by providing these hard workers with the skills they need to keep calm in difficult times. According to a Facebook post from Cass County, Powerful Tools for Caregivers was originally developed for caregivers of adults with chronic conditions — but over time, it has expanded to include classes for those who take care of anyone in need, including children with special needs and elderly individuals. The program places a heavy focus on self-love, and how one can take care of themselves as well as their charge.
