CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Clovis Police say they are investigating an "accidental discharge" after a man in Clovis was shot in the torso. Officials say around 8 p.m. they received a call about a man who'd been accidentally shot in the area of Osmun Avenue and 2nd Street. How fast can a bullet fall? Fast enough to kill, Fresno Police say When officers arrived, an initial investigation revealed adult friends were drinking and hanging out when one male adult pointed his legally registered handgun at his friend and shot him. The friend, who is also an adult male, was shot once in the torso with what police believe to be a non-life-threatening wound, though he was transported to the hospital. Clovis Police say everyone on scene was cooperative with their investigation. At this time, it is unknown if there will be any arrests or charges filed as this investigation has just begun.
