*Video of previous coverage of Sean "Diddy" Combs. (KTLA) -- A new Sean "Diddy" Combs documentary special is coming to Peacock. In "Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy," the mogul's "inner circle" is breaking their silence. That includes a childhood friend, makeup artist, producer, former bodyguard, a winner of his MTV reality series "Making the Band" and singer Al B. Sure!. Sure, whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown III, was a former labelmate of Combs at Uptown Records. He was also in a relationship with model Kim Porter, and together, the couple had a son, Quincy Brown, before Porter began a yearslong relationship with Combs, who raised Quincy as his own. The 90-minute documentary special will tell "the story of Sean Combs’ early years and his decadeslong transformation to Puffy and then to Diddy, with crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster," a media release explained. Meghan Markle announces new Netflix lifestyle series Peacock on Thursday released a trailer for the documentary, which included one anonymous interviewee who claimed to have been "with Sean for quite a while" and "captured a lot of moments." "Any time a studio or any rooms is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the ones who went in the room, for sure they were underage," the person said. Ample Entertainment, Blink Films and FGW Productions produced the special. Ari Mark, Phil Lott, Sumit David, Stephanie Frederic, Laura Jones and Justine Kershaw served as executive producers, and Sara Lavery is the co-executive producer. Currently, Combs is in jail in New York as he awaits his trial in May on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all federal crime charges. Additionally, he has faced numerous lawsuits claiming physical and sexual abuse. In March 2024, U.S. agents with the Department of Homeland Security raided mansions tied to Combs in Los Angeles and Miami. "Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy" will premiere on Peacock on Jan. 14.
