The city says the main sewer drain was installed over 100 years ago and it has failed. This has led to sewage backups, and it needs to be flushed out.
The downstairs bathrooms of the City Hall will be closed until the repairs are completed. Any meetings that were scheduled for the City Hall Meeting Room will be held virtually.
This problem is ongoing and further updates will be available.
