Under the act, charity organizations operating in New Mexico must register with the NMDOJ. On their website, NMDOJ has a tool where people can look up charities and view if that charity is registered, where they allocate their funds, tax information and more. With many people possibly donating to charity during the holiday season the NMDOJ wants to help the community donate safely.
