PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A man, identified as 80-year-old George Tetterton Bowen Jr., is dead after an overnight shooting, according to Portsmouth Police. At around 2:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the man with fatal gunshot wounds. This is an active homicide investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
