2 arrested, 85 lbs of meth seized during Wible Rd. lab raid: KSCO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested two people and seized 85 pounds of meth after executing search warrants at an apartment and home in southwest Bakersfield.
Officers with the Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Ashe Road, just south of Herb Way. Officials also obtained a warrant for a meth conversion lab at home at the intersection of Wible Rd. and Alum Ave.

Between the both locations, detectives found 46 pounds of finished crystal meth and around 39 pounds of methamphetamine currently in a meth/liquid form, KCSO said through a release.
The Nov. 8 search and seizure ended with Cristian Escutia, of Mexico City and Brandon Rancano-Franco, both 22 years-old, in police custody for operating the meth lab.

Escutia and Brandon Rancano-Franco were booked into the Lerdo jail for manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, maintaining a residence/place for drug sales and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Investigators later dismantled the large lab.
