ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) -- Arlington County said it would follow a holiday schedule on Election Day, which means closures and adjuments for government offices and services. The county's website gives a grid layout of what that means. Here is the guidance provided: Courts For Circuit, General District, and Juvenile & Domestic Relations courts, people should check the respective court's calendar. DMV and DMV Select Access several available transactions online on Election Day. Human Services Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, and Mental Health Emergency Services are available as they are every day of the year and around the clock. Libraries There is a libary holiday closings page online. Parks & Recreation Facilities and Programs Community centers are closed, as are the department's administrative offices. Parking You'll find permit parking in effect unless there is something noted on a sign saying otherwise. There is no parking enforcement of meters on holidays. Permitting and Inspection Services Permit Arlington Center is closed. No building or trade inspections will take place. Permit Arlington is available to use. Arlington Public Schools There is no school for students, according to the school division's calendar, which you can check for additional information. (People should call in advance of the holiday to book transportation for it or the day after.) Metrorail and Metrobus Recycling, Trash, and Organics Curbside Pickup Recycling, trash, and organics curbside routes will have their regular schedules. Special collections also (brush, metal, E-waste) will have regular collection. The Household Hazardous Materials/Electronics Collection Recycling Center is closed. The Earth Products Yard is closed.
