Rain chances are up to around 30 percent due to increased moisture in the atmosphere, although most areas will stay dry. This pattern will continue into Tuesday, with a slight chance for a stray shower through the overnight hours. Unusually warm conditions for this time of year are expected, with temperatures potentially breaking record highs. Early morning low temperatures will stay in the mid-70s, higher than the typical seasonal average, and areas like Baton Rouge and New Orleans may set new records for warmest low temperatures. Breezy winds will persist into the evening, helping to keep fog at bay but allowing for low cloud cover to develop overnight. Coastal areas should also be on alert for possible flooding due to high tides, with peak levels likely to occur between late Monday and early Tuesday. Coastal flood alerts are in effect through Tuesday morning.
