LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The University saw another sexual assault report this week, the Chief of Police releasing a statement saying they’re seeing more this year than in 2022. The university’s violence intervention and prevention center, also known as VIP, helps victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and more. Lenzi Dodgen with the VIP center says sexual assaults are the most underreported crime, but each victim has a highly individualized decision on whether or not they want to report it.
