Readers and reporters will convene just t wo days after the midterms at Wild Meadows Books Café in Williston on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. They’ll discuss Vermont’s highly competitive statewide and legislative races — and how voters get the information they need to make informed choices.  Featured panelists will include VTDigger state government and politics reporter Shaun Robinson and Vermont Community Newspaper Group editor-in-chief Tommy Gardner. The event will be moderated by Boston Globe reporter and former VTDigger editor-in-chief Paul Heintz. Sponsored by the Vermont Journalism Coalition, Wild Meadows and the Williston Observer, Journalism Club is a monthly gathering that brings together news producers and consumers to discuss the reporting process. It takes place on the first Thursday of the month at Wild Meadows, 27 Market Street in Williston.  Participants can catch up on Robinson’s latest reporting and access VTDigger’s election guide here. Coverage from VTCNG’s five community weeklies — Stowe Reporter, News Citizen of Morrisville, The Other Paper of South Burlington, Shelburne News, and The Citizen of Charlotte and Hinesburg — can be found on their website. VTCNG is a member of VTDigger’s Community News Sharing program.
