(KRON) -- In only its second season as a franchise, the Golden State Valkyries are making noise and are on the path of a deep playoff run. After beating defending champion Las Vegas Aces in Game 1 on Sunday, the Valkyries are two wins away from a WNBA Finals appearance. Should Golden State make it all the way to the Finals, there will be a schedule conflict with its home arena, Chase Center. Pop star Doja Cat is set to perform on Monday, Oct. 19 at Chase Center. Game 2 of the WNBA Finals is scheduled for that same night. Since the Valkyries are the highest remaining seeded team (No. 2), they would host the first two games of the championship series. If that schedule conflict does happen, one party will have to move. It won't be the home basketball team. The Valkyries said they are playing that game at Chase Center and that the Doja Cat concert will "move to a contingency date." As is standard practice for major venue events, we always have a comprehensive contingency plan, including backup dates, in place. No changes have been made to the schedule at this time. Any official updates or announcements will be directly shared with ticket holders as more information becomes available. Golden State Valkyries This will not be the first time the Valkyries dealt with a scheduling conflict. Last season, the eighth-seeded Valkyries' home playoff game against Minnesota was moved to SAP Center in San Jose due to the Laver Cup. The indoor tennis tournament was booked at Chase Center before the WNBA announced San Francisco would be getting a team. On the hardwood, the Valkyries will need to win two more games to punch their ticket to the WNBA Finals -- a feat considering the team's debut season as a franchise was just last year.
