Update: Damaging winds and quartersized hail foreseen with thunderstorms to hit parts of Upstate NY Wednesday

The National Weather Service released an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 8:49 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 9 p.m. for Cayuga, Seneca, Steuben and Yates counties.The storms could bring quarter-sized hail (1 inch) and wind gusts of up to 70 mph.
