The coroner identified the three people who were killed after a pickup truck traveling the wrong way crashed into their vehicles on I-76 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, earlier this month.   The incident occurred on Saturday, July 11. Officials said a white pickup truck was traveling eastbou nd on I-76 westbound when it crashed into at least one vehicle between the Gulph Mills and King of Prussia/Norristown exits at 4:53 a.m. that morning. Joseph Davis told NBC10 he was on his way to work when he saw the pickup truck driving the wrong way on the divided highway. “I see headlights where they shouldn’t be,” Davis said. “At that point, I said, ‘I can’t do this,’ and I had to kind of hard right it to avoid him, and I did. As I passed him, I heard cars behind me, tires screeching.” Pennsylvania State Police responded to the first crash and tried to stop the pickup truck but it continued traveling the wrong way on I-76 westbound, officials said. As the driver continued, the pickup truck then crashed into a silver car and a blue minivan, officials said. The three people who were inside the car and minivan were all killed in the crash. On Thursday, July 23, the Montgomery County Coroner identified the victims as 32-year-old Carlos Perez, 33-year-old Emanuel Da Silva, and 51-year-old Idesio Da Silva. All three victims died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the coroner’s office. Officials have not identified the driver of the pickup truck or revealed their condition. They also have not yet revealed if the pickup driver will face any charges.
