He began his career in education in the Teacher Training Program at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before teaching at Milton Academy and the Atrium School in the Boston area. He served in leadership roles at independent schools including Atrium School, Columbus Academy in Ohio, Mirman School in Los Angeles and most recently as interim head of school at New Roads School, also in Los Angeles. According to Park City Day School, Vorenberg has successfully led schools through significant transitions and overseen financial and strategic planning while supporting faculty development and maintaining a steadfast focus on student success. The Park City Day School Board of Trustees selected Vorenberg following an extensive search for an experienced interim leader who could provide stability while helping prepare the school for its next permanent head. “Dan stood out from the beginning as exactly the kind of leader we were seeking,” said Jon Golden, president of the board of Park City Day School. “His deep understanding of independent schools, approachable leadership style and thoughtful vision for the future make him exceptionally well suited to lead Park City Day School during this important transition year.” Vorenberg said he is particularly drawn to Park City Day School’s commitment to challenging academics, outdoor and experiential education, close-knit community and whole-child development. “I am both deeply humbled and exceedingly grateful to join PCDS on what has been the school’s compelling and inspiring 15-year journey,” said Vorenberg. “Every interaction I enjoyed — from the Search Committee, to the students, to my final discussions with the faculty and staff — demonstrated an ongoing commitment by all concerned to ensure an unwavering alignment of mission and practice that lives in the epicenter of excellence through direct experience. It is truly my good fortune to have the opportunity to lead PCDS over the coming year as the community prepares to secure long-term visionary leadership for years to come.” The post Park City Day School appoints Dan Vorenberg as interim head of school for 2026-27 appeared first on Park Record. ...read more read less
