A woman was killed following a late-night stabbing at a North San Jose apartment complex on Thursday. Officers responded at around 11:45 p.m. to reports of a stabbing in the 80 block of Descanso Drive and found a man and a woman each suffering from at least one stab wound, according to the San Jo se Police Department. Both were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries, where the woman later died. Her identity has not yet been released. A preliminary investigation allegedly revealed that the man was responsible for the stabbing and knew the victim, police said. Authorities plan to identify him at a later date. The SJPD Homicide Unit is investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing. The killing marks the city’s 11th homicide this year, the department reported.
