A 63-year-old man died after getting stabbed on a SEPTA platform at the Broad and Girard station on Sunday afternoon, police said. The man, who has not been identified other than as someone wanted for a previous aggravated assault and for stabbing a dog, was stabbed at around 3:23 p.m. after get ting into an argument with another person, who fled the scene and is still being sought, police said. The man was stabbed in the left arm and his left side and was alert and speaking with officers at the time, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour later, police said. About 10 minutes before the stabbing was reported, a person had called police to say that the wanted victim was going to be at the station, police said. The man was later confirmed to be the person wanted for the previous crimes, but it is unclear if Sunday’s stabbing was related to the prior incidents, police said.
