Warmer air returns Saturday; a few showers possible on Mother’s Day

FRIDAY 4 PM WEATHER WITH KEITH
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Mother’s Day weekend will start out mild but end on a cooler note. Some rain could also occur, but the weekend won’t be washout.
FRIDAY EVENING/NIGHT:
Areas of rain with some thunder possible. Parts of Central Indiana may end u
p with 1/2″ to 1″ of rain. Lows in the 50s.
SATURDAY:
Early clouds will give way to more sun as the day wears on. Warmer highs in the low to mid 70s. It may be a bit breezy at times with SW winds 10-20 mph. Conditions should be really good for the Sonsio Grand Prix at IMS, the Fever home opener, and the Indy Eleven match in the evening. A few spotty PM evening showers could develop but most spots should probably remain dry.
SATURDAY NIGHT:
Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows in the 50s.
SUNDAY:
Mother’s Day will likely start out with lots of clouds and some scattered showers. A mix of sun clouds should return for the afternoon with highs in the low to mid 60s.
NEXT WEEK:
Below average temperatures continue to look likely with some additional rain chances Tuesday into Wednesday and again on Friday. The risk of widespread strong storms and severe weather will remain low.
