Pierre and Fort Pierre have partnered on a number of features on the Missouri River Bridge including upgraded overhead lighting, bump-outs along the pedestrian walking path and improved railings.
The Waldron Memorial Bridge is a vital link between the two communities, supporting daily travel for work, school, and services, while also serving as a key route for visitors accessing recreation, businesses and regional destinations.
