A BlueandWhite Wedding on the Eastern Shore
Apr 03, 2026
Pamela and Mike first met in high school. The two were close friends, even attending dances such as junior prom together, but never dated. Forty years later—after “first marriages that brought beautiful families but ended in divorce”—they met up for drinks at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner
hotel bar, where they spent six hours catching up. Over the next few months, they took day trips to wineries in Middleburg, dined at their old haunts in Old Town Alexandria, and visited friends. Eventually, romance blossomed. Four years later, Mike proposed on a trip to Las Vegas.

The pair chose to marry at their home on the river in St. Michaels, with a blue-and-white wedding design they say was inspired by the home’s water view and evening candle-lit romance. Pamela’s favorite parts of the design were the tent and the blue-and-white floral arrangements that included an installation above the dance floor. Mike’s favorite details were the two rainbows that appeared after a short post-ceremony sprinkle. The menu included a surf and turf dinner of New York strip and Maryland crab cakes, plus signature cocktails called the “Mint to be Yours” mojito and “Got a Crush on You” orange crushes. See the photos of their big day below.
