Lincoln Police Cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR/KOLN Apr. 3)–Lincoln Police are investigating and a Lincoln couple are looking for clear answers after their 8-month-old son suddenly died on March 26. According to KFOR’s media partner, 10/11 News, LPD was called to a home in west Linc oln late on the morning of March 24 about a medical emergency. The mother, 20-year-old Serenity Cleary, told 10/11 her boyfriend was sick on March 24 and they left their son with their babysitter. A short time later after the initial call to police, Cleary said officers arrived and told her that her son was taken to the hospital. EMTs found the boy blue and his heart stopped. Vomit was found stuck in his throat. The boy was declared brain dead on March 26 and Cleary said she was then referred to an abuse specialist, who ruled out sudden infant death syndrome. LPD says a coroner’s report did not list a manner of death for the boy. No arrests or citations yet, but LPD said their Special Victims Unit is investigating the incident.   ...read more read less
