FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO)— Google is seeking approval to use farmland it purchased along Tillman Road as a temporary construction workspace connected to its nearby data center development. The nearly 40-acre site sits adjacent to the existing project area and would be rezoned to allow tempor ary offices, fencing, and limited construction support facilities, according to materials filed with the Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals. Company plans describe the setup as a short-term solution to support crews working on the expanding data center project. Officials say the structures would not be permanent and would be removed once construction is complete. The land would then be reseeded, with some landscaping elements remaining in place. Residents will have an opportunity to comment during a public hearing scheduled for April 15 at Citizens Square in Fort Wayne. The zoning request remains under review by county officials.
