(KRON/BCN) -- A fatal crash early Wednesday morning shut down a portion of Highway 4 in Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol. All lanes were reopened by 3:42 a.m. Around 1:45 a.m., the CHP said all westbound lanes of the freeway near Sand Creek Road were closed due to the crash. Mo torists were advised to use alternative routes. A CHP incident log indicates that a motorcyclist was involved in the crash.
