OKC Ballet partners with Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center for ‘Future Voices’
Mar 04, 2026
Oklahoma City Ballet’s annual “Future Voices” returns this month for its seventh year, expanding to a second venue through a new partnership with Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center.
The audience-favorite program features eight world-premiere works choreographed by company dancers. Performan
ces will be held March 13–15 at the Susan E. Brackett Dance Center and March 20–22 at Oklahoma Contemporary.
“Future Voices has become one of our most celebrated programs because it reveals our dancers as artists and creators, not just performers,” Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye said.

Each selected dancer choreographs an original piece for fellow company members, choosing music, movement style and costumes. The works range from classical ballet to contemporary expression and offer audiences an intimate look at the creative process.
Six of this year’s eight choreographers are women. Participants were selected through a mentored proposal process.
“Dance has the power to connect people across backgrounds, neighborhoods and art forms,” said Andrea Lodico, co-founder of OK Let’s Dance, an initiative of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund that supports dance programs across central Oklahoma.
Apprentice dancer Rachel Kundzins said presenting the program at Oklahoma Contemporary adds inspiration and intimacy to the experience.
The 2026 dancer-choreographers are Kara Troester Blythe, Mickayla Carr, Randolph Fernandez, Alejandro González, Rachel Kundzins, Paige Russell, Yeva-Mariia Skorenka and Erina Tanaka.
Tickets are available at okcballet.org.
