Today will be mostly sunny and pleasant with increasing onshore winds. Mountains and deserts will be under a WIND ADVISORY from 6pm today to 4am Thursday. Onshore winds could gust around 45mph in these areas with isolated gusts near 65mph. Beaches will see elevated surf and dangerous rip currents on Thursday. Wave heights will build to around 3-5 feet. Our cooler weather will continue Thursday with slight warming Friday as offshore winds begin to develop. We will have increasing offshore winds this weekend as a Santa Ana high forms to our Northeast. This will warm us up Saturday and Sunday with gusty East winds in the mountains. At the same time, an area of low pressure will be to our South and getting closer on Sunday. This will give slight rain chances to parts of the county on Sunday and early Monday.
