NJ Gov. announces online portal to report misconduct by federal agents

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill addressed the Garden State on Wednesday afternoon and announced new efforts to protect residents from potential misconduct by federal agents.

“I take seriously my responsibility to keep New Jersey residents safe and, as a Navy veteran and former federal prosecutor, my commitment to upholding the Constitution will never waver,” Gov. Sherrill said. “Given ICE’s willingness to flout the Constitution and violently endanger communities – detaining children, arresting citizens, and even killing several innocent civilians – I will stand up for New Jerseyans right to be safe.”
The governor shared information about a new portal where New Jersey residents can report incidents involving federal agents that happen in the state.
Along with the new portal, Gov. Sherrill announced that ICE raids will not be permitted on state property.
