Waymo’s self-driving taxis are now providing limited service to and from San Francisco International Airport. Starting Thursday, a select number of Waymo riders have SFO access, with service expanding to all riders over the coming months, the company said. The airport’s rental car center w ill serve as Waymo’s pickup and dropoff location to start. Waymo said it plans to serve other airport locations, such as the terminals, in the future. “Serving rides to and from San Francisco International Airport delivers one of the most requested features for our riders and further deepens our relationship with the city,” Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana said in a statement. “With millions traveling in for major events this year, we look forward to meeting the growing demand for reliable, fully autonomous rides.
