On Tuesday, February 24, Kids’ Night on Broadway – an audience development program of The Broadway League, created in 1996 with the Theatre Development Fund and presented by The New York Times – returns with its special promotion designed to introduce young audiences to the theater by offerin g kids free tickets to participating Broadway shows when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Included with the ticket offer are special in-theater events and giveaways, from talkbacks, sing-alongs, and art projects to Kids’ Night on Broadway activity books and more. This year’s participating shows are: Aladdin; All Out: Comedy About Ambition; Juliet; Buena Vista Social Club; Chicago; *The Great Gatsby; Hamilton; Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; The Lion King; Maybe Happy Ending; MJ; Moulin Rouge! The Musical; Operation Mincemeat; The Outsiders; *SIX: The Musical; Stranger Things: The First Shadow; Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York); and Wicked. *Please note that the Kids’ Night performance date for The Great Gatsby and SIX: The Musical will take place on Wednesday, February 25. Because this is a 2-for-1 offer, all tickets must be purchased in pairs – one for an adult and one for a child aged 18 or under – with 50% off each ticket applied; no additional free tickets can be added to orders. Kids’ Night purchases cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions; all tickets are subject to standard service fees and theater restoration charges. There is a limit of 8 tickets (4 adults and 4 kids) per order; all sales are final. Along with the ticket discount, 16 restaurants in the midtown Theater District/Times Square area are offering deals for Kids’ Night on Broadway ticketholders on February 24, including free kids’ meals with the purchase of a full-price adult entree. The participating restaurants are: AperiBar; Applebee’s (42nd Street and 50th Street); Bar Mexicana; Carnegie Diner and Café; Chicken Guy; Criollas Baked Empanadas; Ellen’s Stardust Diner; Hard Rock Café; Havana Central; Le Rivage; Mermaid Oyster Bar; Planet Hollywood; Playwright Tavern; PS Kitchen; and Schnipper’s. In addition, Kids’ Night ticketholders can also save 50% on admission to the Museum of Broadway on Tuesday, February 24, from 9:30 am-4 pm (last entry 2:30 pm) for a day of Broadway games, trivia, and one-of-a-kind interactive experiences for kids and adults alike. If you’re age 13 or up, you can join The Broadway Fan Club to be the first to know when the upcoming Kids’ Night tickets go on sale.
