The 19th Annual B’ville Big Chill returns to Mercer Park on Jan. 31, from noon to 2 p.m., yet again offering participants the chance to brave the icy water for a good cause. The B’ville Big Chill is a zany winter event, showcasing the people and businesses of Baldwinsville, with the highlight be ing teams of people plunging into the icy Seneca River to raise money. The event is a fundraiser for Baldwinsville Rotary and the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce. In addition to supporting these two fine organizations and getting bragging rights, the three plunge teams that generate the most donations earn cash prizes for the charity of their choice: first place – $2,000, second place – $1,250 and third place – $750. WT Brews – Baldwinsville will be in the heated tent, selling beverages both adult and non-alcoholic for participants to enjoy with their Best in Bowl samples. The pub crawl, which includes a poker-themed competition with cash prizes, runs until 7:30 p.m. Purchase a ticket for $10 and walk to participating bars to try to make a winning poker hand. Best hand wins a cash prize!
