An El Cajon woman who had been hospitalized since she was struck by a car in early December died last week in a San Diego hospital, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office. Susana Gascon, 39, was struck and gravely injured by a car around 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 while crossing North Mollison Av enue between Broadway and Interstate 8, the Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement. After the crash, paramedics took Gascon to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where she remained hospitalized for more than three weeks until her death on Dec. 28, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Her cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries.
