Mon evening forecast – Jan 5, 2026
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ll have a mild stretch of weather for the workweek with potential for multiple systems late this week.
Monday night: Cloudy with patchy fog potential and drizzle into Tuesday morning. Lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Tu
esday: Some showers possible mainly north of I-70 Tuesday morning. Mainly cloudy with potential for some clearing late and breezy. Highs in the low 50s.
Wednesday: A return to having more sunshine is ahead Wednesday with highs in the low 50s.
7-Day Forecast: Active weather returns late this week into the weekend. We’ll track a system Thursday night into Friday with potential for some heavy rain and thunder. We’re also watching for severe storm potential Thursday night as well. A second system may pass through this weekend with a chance for rain and snow. Both systems currently carry some uncertainty in relation to storm track and intensity. It is also worth noting that there is a severe risk that is currently at the southern tip of Indiana for Friday. We’ll see how this evolves in correlation with the first system coming in.
What we do know is that colder air returns after we see more 50s and possible 60s through the end of the workweek.
