Temperature fall below freezing tonight leading to potential slick spots after midnight and Thursday morning. New Year’s Eve: Snow will may linger a little after midnight b ut it will gradually move to our south once a cold front passes. Snow totals will be mainly under an inch in central Indiana. Better odds for 1 inch or more will be north of the metro area. Temperatures will fall into the 20s and 10s later tonight so be mindful of black ice on untreated surfaces, bridges, and overpasses through Thursday morning. New Year’s Day: Cold to start 2026 on Thursday with highs only in the upper 20s to low 30s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Friday: Closer to near normal temperatures as we end the workweek. Highs in the mid 30s. 7-Day Forecast: Quiet weekend with some sunshine ahead with highs getting in the mid 30s through Saturday and Sunday.
