Woman pepper sprayed an entire family in Palo Alto road rage incident: PD

(KRON) — Palo Alto police arrested a woman after she was involved in a road rage incident Saturday night.
On Dec. 27 at about 5:45 p.m., the Palo Alto Police Department (PAPD) received a report about a road rage incident that occurred on the 700 block of Embarcadero Road.

The victim, a man in his twenties, told officers that he was traveling eastbound on Embarcadero Road with his family and he was attempting to change lanes to make a left turn.
A gray Nissan Sentra would accelerate to prevent the victim from entering the lane, according to PAPD. Once stopped at the traffic light, the Sentra made a U-turn and struck the victim’s vehicle.
Police reported that the suspect exited the Sentra, threatened the driver, struck him with their keys and then pepper sprayed him. A woman who was a passenger in the victim's vehicle got out before the suspect also pepper sprayed her. The victim's four juvenile children were also in the car and exposed to the pepper spray.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, according to PAPD. The Palo Alto Fire Department responded and provided medical aid to the family at the scene.
Palo Alto police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Mahima Yaqoob of Lakeport.
Yaqoob was arrested in South San Francisco without incident on Sunday, Dec. 28. Police booked Yaqoob into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for six counts of assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful use of tear gas. Yaqoob was also booked for four counts of child endangerment, two counts of criminal threats. one count of criminal threats and for driving on a suspended license.
