KFOR’s media partner, 10/11 News, reports that Lloyd Scott was arrested early Monday morning, and l
ater charged with second-degree assault, terroristic threats and three firearm-related felonies. According to arrest affidavit, a 58-year-old woman bleeding from her head showed up to her neighbor’s house in the area of North Bell and West “R” Streets to get help.
The woman says she was awakened by Scott to beating her with the bat. According to police, Scott asked the woman for a ride to the store, but she wasn’t available because of work and told him no.
Officers searched Scott’s home and discovered a Taurus G3 handgun and a bloodied bat, the affidavit shows. In the basement, police found a spent shell casing and a bullet hole in the wall, according to court records. Scott was also found to be a convicted felon for an assault conviction in 2019.
Bond for Scott was set at $1.5-million and he’s due back in court on Jan. 27.
