RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A tractor-trailer crash has caused delays for drivers on Interstate 95 South near Belvidere Street in Richmond Monday morning. At 6:39 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, Virginia State Police troopers responded to a crash involving a box truck and a tractor-trailer in the southbound l anes of I-95 near the Belvidere Street exit in Richmond. Police said preliminary information indicates that a box truck hit the center jersey wall and came to rest against it. As a result of the crash, police said the tractor-trailer overturned. The tractor-trailer was reportedly transporting around 40,000 pounds of steel or aluminum beams, according to police, which then spilled across all southbound lanes.
