San Diego weather: Dense fog advisory, warming this week
Dec 16, 2025
DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for coastal communities until 9am. Visibility will be greatly reduced to 1/4 mile or less this morning. The fog will gradually clear later this morning with gradual sunshine. Temperatures will be just a bit warmer this afternoon.
A warming trend will take place thi
s week with a weak offshore flow. Thursday and Friday will be the warmest. Expect an unseasonably warm end to the week with some areas inland near 20 degrees above normal for this time of the year.
Temperatures will cool down this weekend as our onshore flow returns. More active weather will remain to our North as we stay dry here.
Next week, we may have a more active weather pattern for Southern California as a larger storm system stretches farther South. Possible rain chances as of now will be on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. More details as we get closer. . .
