SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A dog that police say was kicked and ran away during the assault of an elderly person has been found safe. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 3:32 p.m. in the area of Post and Leavenworth streets. According to the San Francisco Police Department, the suspect in the as sault kicked the victim's dog and the dog ran away. The victim, a 65-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. The dog, which was named Charlotte Rose, was found, police announced on Thursday.
