At 1:13 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory in effect until Friday at 4 a.m. for Southern Westchester, Richmond (Staten Is.), Kings (Brooklyn), Northwest Suffolk, Northeast Suffolk, Southwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Northern Queens, Northern Nassau, Sou thern Queens and Southern Nassau as well as New York (Manhattan) and Bronx counties.The weather service adds to expect, "West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph." ...read more read less
