The Boise State Broncos made history on Friday night, becoming the first football team in the Mountain West Conference to win three straight Mountain West Championship titles. The Broncos won with a final score of 38 to 21, beat ing UNLV at home for the title for the third year in a row. QB Maddux Madsen scored first with a rushing touchdown, and later connected with RB Dylan Riley with 18 seconds left in the first quarter.2nd Quarter Update:The Boise State Broncos lead by two touchdowns at the half, 28-14. Madsen found WR Cameron Bates in the end zone for yet another Bronco touchdown.With just over 3 minutes left in the half, UNLV quarterback Anthony Colandrea rushed for a TD, getting the Rebels' first points on the board.Madsen quickly answered, rushing for yet another touchdown with 1:50 left on the clock. UNLV made use of what little time was left, WR Anthony Colandrea getting his first touchdown of the day with just 48 seconds left on the clock.3rd Quarter Update:The third quarter went mostly scoreless until UNLV running back JoJo Earle rushed for a 7-yard touchdown with 2:59 left in the quarter. Score: 21-28.4th Quarter Update:Boise State scored early in the 4th quarter, running back Sire Gaines rushing 1 yard for another Broncos touchdown with 13 minutes left in the game. After a successful extra point, the Broncos extended their lead to 35-38. Both teams were forced to punt in the middle of the quarter, but kicker Colton Boomer connected on a 50-yard field goal attempt. Boise State extends their lead, 38-21.
